Beginning at the age of 2 years and 6 months, children will receive daily individualized instruction with one of our teachers that follows the child’s My Learning Plan (MLP). Parents will receive daily written communication about the child’s progress on the MLP and will be provided with material to continue to reinforce the skills at home. The program is designed for children to graduate the preschool program with the ability to read at an emergent level, but we do acknowledge that each child develops at a different rate. The MLP is designed to tailor to each child’s needs and will challenge the child at a level that is appropriate to each individual.
Your explorer will engage in various developmentally appropriate learning activities throughout the school year in a combination of whole group, small group, and individualized lessons. EEA utilizes a progressive education model in which students will learn through a balance of formal instruction and play-based instruction while incorporating songs, music, and elements of art.
